In addition to the $1,000 grants they give out each year, they do award some $5,000 grants when they come across a special project idea they want to fund. The Pollination Project grant is a good way to take a passion you have for something and share it with the community.
Types of Projects
When it comes to the type of project that will be awarded a grant through the Pollination Project, there is a lot of room for creativity. As long as the project is considered something that will make the world a better place, by spreading compassion and goodness, then it qualifies for the grant. This allows veterans to take something they are passionate about and apply for a grant to help fund sharing it with others.
To get an idea of the types of projects that get funding you can look at the past grant winners. Some of the past projects that have received the grant include spreading financial literacy, environmental workshops, animal sanctuaries, book share programs, fruit tree seedling projects, vegan outreach, creating a home for insured pigeons, and reforestation. With the diversity in prior awards, it demonstrates that you have a lot of leeway when it comes to what type of grant would be approved. As long as it meets the organization’s mission you should qualify.
During 2018, the Pollination Project awarded a total of $862,658. The grants were awarded to people in 16 different countries. The country that received the most grant awards was America. The categories that were funded include education, kindness, human rights, health and wellness, environment, economic empowerment, arts and culture, and animal rights.
